About

In Uplink, you play as an Uplink Agent who earns a living by completing jobs for major corporations. Missions include hacking rival computer systems, stealing research data, sabotaging companies, laundering money, erasing evidence, and framing innocent people. Use your earnings to upgrade computer systems and purchase new software and tools. As your experience grows, more dangerous and profitable missions become available. You can speculate on a fully functional stock market and even influence its outcome, modify academic or criminal records, divert bank transfers into your own accounts, and take part in constructing the deadliest computer virus ever designed.

Storyline

You are a newly assigned agent for Uplink, a secretive underground hacking organization. Its motives are neutral, and its hackers range from those who help an unsuspecting world to morally bankrupt operatives seeking only money and power over others. When the Andromeda Research Corporation (ARC) begins a series of unusual hiring practices, the story unfolds.
