Utopia: The Creation of a Nation

Utopia combines the city-building gameplay of SimCity with military strategy in a distant-future colony management game. As the Colony Administrator of a new settlement on a far-flung planet, your goal is to achieve the highest possible Quality of Life rating for your colonists. Build and maintain life support, power, housing, employment, police services, and entertainment to keep the colony happy. Random events, including solar eclipses that can disable solar panels, can disrupt your plans. Each scenario also features a hostile alien race inhabiting the planet. Success requires both mayoral and military leadership. Allocate resources to civilian research as well as weapons research, intelligence, tanks, and spaceships to survive. While you will generally establish a strong colony before the aliens arrive, reaching a Quality of Life rating of 80% or higher requires eliminating all outside threats and allowing the colony to grow into a metropolis.

In Utopia: The Creation of a Nation, you serve as the administrator of a distant planetary colony. Balance the daily needs of its growing population against the dangers of an unfamiliar world. Build a thriving metropolis, maintain quality of life, and defend the settlement from hostile alien forces to secure the colony's future.
