The King of Shades has cursed the great city of Icenaire. Trapped under an endless blight of frostfall, its former residents have risen from the dead as deranged Wraiths. The remaining survivors shelter deep underground, waging a desperate campaign against this unearthly power. Hopelessly outmatched, they are forced into hiding as the King of Shades gathers an undead army above them. Then, one fateful day, a mysterious stranger arrives with an enchanted vambrace—and she may be their only hope. You are Evelia Lyric, bearer of the Aetherbrace and the only human capable of entering Icenaire. The survivors look to you as their best chance to stand against the King of Shades.
