Viewfinder is a puzzle game where you reshape the world around you by taking photos with an instant camera.

Viewfinder is an inventive first-person puzzle game built around a remarkable ability: taking photographs and two-dimensional images and placing them into the world, where they become real, three-dimensional spaces that the player can explore and manipulate. This reality-bending mechanic supports a deeper story. The game takes place inside a simulation created by a small team of researchers desperately trying to solve an existential crisis. In the real world, all plant life on Earth has been wiped out, leaving humanity without a viable source of oxygen. The player character enters this digital space to retrace the scientists’ steps, solving intricate photographic puzzles to reach teleporters that carry them deeper into the experiment. A witty artificial intelligence named Cait, represented as a Cheshire cat, guides the player along the way. As they piece together the clues left behind, they begin to uncover what happened to the research and the hopes built upon it.
