Void Bastards

Inspired by BioShock and System Shock 2, Void Bastards is a strategy-shooter designed to test your wits as much as your aim. Can you lead the misfit prisoners of the Void Ark through derelict spaceships and the many dangers of the Sargasso Nebula?

Forget what you expect from first-person shooters—Void Bastards is about making the calls, not just pulling the trigger. Your mission is to lead the rag-tag Void Bastards out of the Sargasso Nebula. You choose where to go, what to do, and who to fight, then execute that plan against strange and terrifying enemies. On board derelict spaceships, you’ll map out each run by studying the layout, identifying hazards and enemies, and spotting terminals and ship systems you can use to your advantage. Move carefully through dangerous corridors, scavenging supplies and manipulating control systems as you adapt to what you find. Do you detour to the generator to restore power, or battle your way into security to disable the ship’s defenses? Decide when to fight, when to flee, and when to be a bastard. Use hard-won supplies to improvise tools and weapons, from the distracting robo-kitty to the horribly unstable clusterflak. Between ships, pilot your tiny escape pod through the vast nebula. Evade void whales and pirates, and politely steer clear of hungry hermits, all while continuing to scavenge for the food, fuel, and other resources that keep you alive. Void Bastards features a 12–15 hour campaign with an endless supply of prisoners, each with unique traits. When one dies, another steps up to continue the escape—and your crafting progress carries over from one to the next.
