About

It is a brand-new year at Duel Academy, and the students are excited to begin school. You are assigned to the Slifer Red Dorm, but strange events soon begin occurring. As these incidents unfold, you start hearing the voice of a spirit duelist. This benevolent spirit helps you duel and solve the mysteries surrounding Duel Academy. Compete in head-to-head duels worldwide through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The game includes more than 1,500 cards, along with options to create and customize your character's appearance. Each game also includes three exclusive trading cards.

Storyline

You are aboard a ship traveling to Duel Academy with your friends Jaden Yuki and Syrus Truesdale. After being assigned to the Slifer Red dorm, you soon notice that strange events are taking place. As these unusual occurrences begin, you start hearing the voice of a duel spirit. This benevolent spirit helps you duel and solve the mysteries surrounding Duel Academy. The story loosely follows the events of the anime, with you taking Jaden's place in key duels, including the incident in which Dimitri steals Yugi's Deck and you recover it. The game covers most of the anime's story from the beginning through the Dark Zane arc. Because Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Spirit Caller is based on the anime, many major and minor characters appear, along with numerous characters exclusive to Spirit Caller who serve as minor characters. You will eventually duel all seven Shadow Riders and experience other parts of Season One before entering a tournament.
