《神鬼寓言III（Fable III）》的故事发生在《神鬼寓言II》事件的50年后，舞台依旧是《神鬼寓言》系列所在的阿尔比恩大陆。阿尔比恩由暴君国王洛根统治，他既是英雄的哥哥，也是王权的掌控者。当洛根暴露出真实面目后，玩家角色——“英雄”——被迫踏上旅程，成为革命领袖并击败他。 游戏前半段，英雄推翻洛根并成为阿尔比恩的统治者；后半段，来自奥罗拉的神秘力量“黑暗（The Darkness）”威胁阿尔比恩，玩家必须决定该如何应对。
故事线
