《极速球》是一款未来风格的类足球体育游戏，比赛在长160英尺、宽90英尺的钢墙钢地板球场上进行。两支球队争取得分最多，球场两端各设有一个球门。侧墙中的传球隧道可以将球从一个隧道传送到另一个隧道。自动发射器会从球场中央向随机方向发射球。反弹穹顶会将球弹开，而球员可以自由地在其上方移动。本版本大幅提升了VGA画面，加入Sound Blaster音效，并强化了游戏玩法。

故事线

根据游戏剧情，第一届Speedball联赛于2095年成立，但因暴力与腐败而走向崩溃。随着组织被无政府状态取代，这项运动被迫转入地下。五年后，为了重新引起公众兴趣，Speedball 2应运而生。游戏于2105年开始，一支新球队Brutal Deluxe正式登场。
