Alan Wake II

Alan Wake 2 is Remedy Entertainment’s first entry in the survival horror genre. A string of ritualistic murders grips a small town. A writer is trapped in a nightmare. An FBI agent searches for answers. Two realities and two hero characters collide in a single horror story that wants them dead.

Alan Wake vanished in 2010. A bestselling writer from New York City, he went on vacation to the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Alice Wake—and encountered a supernatural darkness that brought his horror story to life. Wake fought back and managed to banish the presence to where it came from: a nightmarish Dark Place hidden beneath a caldera lake outside the small town of Bright Falls. He wrote an ending that freed Alice from the darkness under the lake, but trapped himself there. Alan Wake isn’t dead, even if he has wished he were many times. For 13 years, he has been a prisoner in the Dark Place, where his nightmares, fears, and stories manifest as reality around him. For 13 years, he has fought to stay sane and write a story that can change reality and let him escape—and so far, he has failed. Saga Anderson is a skilled FBI agent known for solving impossible cases. She arrives in the small community of Bright Falls in the Pacific Northwest to investigate a string of ritualistic murders. The case becomes a nightmare when Anderson discovers pages from a horror story that begin coming true—and point to disturbing connections with Alan Wake, a writer who disappeared in the area more than a decade ago.
