The year is 2002. After struggling to find steady work as a tradie, you are finding it increasingly difficult to put food on the table as your daughter grows up. When you spot a business opportunity, you take out a loan to buy a motel in the middle of nowhere in Tasmania. You leave your shoebox apartment in Melbourne, Australia, and move to Tasmania. You arrive at the motel with your daughter and begin settling in. The locals come to meet and greet you. Some are happy to have you there, while others are suspicious. Talk to people however you choose, but remember: choices matter, and your actions may have consequences later. As a father, your decisions may also affect your daughter, so choose wisely. Cook food to order, rent out the motel rooms, and care for your customers while maintaining the property. The horror twist: Maintain your sanity, or you will start seeing things. Strange events become more common when your sanity is low, and if you die, you lose the day's progress. If you make enemies among the locals, be sure to lock all the doors at night. There are unexplained things in the attic and basement, so try to keep your curious daughter from going in there. In short: You will face difficult times and tough choices.
