About
Minecraft centers on exploring, interacting with, and reshaping a dynamically generated world built from one-cubic-meter blocks. Alongside blocks, you’ll encounter plants, mobs, and items as you mine for ore, fight hostile creatures, and craft new blocks and tools from gathered resources.
Its open-ended sandbox design supports building structures, creations, and artwork in single-player worlds or on multiplayer servers. Additional systems include redstone circuits for logic and remote actions, minecarts and tracks, and a mysterious underworld known as the Nether. An optional long-term goal is to reach the End dimension and defeat the ender dragon.
Storyline
Minecraft: Java Edition (previously known as Minecraft) is the original version of Minecraft, developed by Mojang Studios for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Notch began development on May 10, 2009, and Minecraft was publicly released on May 17, 2009. The full release followed on November 18, 2011, at MINECON 2011.
