About
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim reimagines the open-world fantasy epic with a complete virtual world you can explore in any direction. Create any character you can imagine and play your way—embracing the series’ signature freedom of choice, adventure, and storytelling like never before.
Storyline
The Empire of Tamriel stands on the brink. Skyrim’s High King has been murdered, and rival alliances form as claims to the throne ignite conflict. Amid the turmoil, an ancient evil awakens: dragons—long absent from the Elder Scrolls—have returned to Tamriel.
The fate of Skyrim, and even the Empire itself, hangs in the balance as all await the prophesized Dragonborn: a hero born with the power of the Voice, and the only one who can stand against the dragons.
