14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep across the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It is a moment of weakness, and that is all they need. Vampires seize their opportunity. Emerging from the shadows, they claim what has been denied to them for centuries: freedom and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends become reality, and history will never be the same. A young man is transformed into a Dawnwalker, forever walking the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight to preserve your humanity or embrace cursed powers to save your family. Whatever you choose, one question remains: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?
