Quake II

Quake II is a first-person shooter developed by id Software and published by Activision. It is not a direct sequel to Quake; id returned to an existing trademark after being unable to agree on a new name that would not violate another company’s trademark.

In Quake II, a lone human marine fights the hostile Strogg across an alien warzone, driving deep into enemy territory to cripple their war machine. Focused on survival and counterinvasion, the campaign escalates from brutal ground combat to a decisive strike against Strogg leadership.
