Grand Theft Auto

Grand Theft Auto is the first entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, a sandbox crime game published by Rockstar Games. The original Grand Theft Auto is structured as a series of levels, each set in one of the game’s three cities. In every level, you have a target score to reach and five lives to earn it. The score counter also functions as a money meter. You can spend money on paint jobs and other items, but anything you spend is deducted from your score—pushing the target further away. Once you reach the required points, you must drive to a specific location to finish the level and unlock the next one.

You play as an aspiring young thug working your way up by taking odd jobs for the mob. To earn points, you commit a string of random crimes, from auto theft and hit-and-runs to murder.
